Call for Abstracts: 10th EuChemS Chemistry Congress (ECC10)

The Call for Abstracts for the 10th EuChemS Chemistry Congress (ECC10) is now open. From 12 to 16 July 2026, the international chemistry and life sciences communities will gather at the Flanders Meeting & Convention Center Antwerp (FMCCA) for five days dedicated to scientific exchange, collaboration, and inspiration.

ECC10 Abstract submission

Organised under the auspices of the European Chemical Society, ECC10 provides a unique platform for researchers, academics, and industry professionals to showcase their work, exchange insights, and explore chemistry’s role in addressing global challenges. The congress continues a strong tradition of excellence, with the previous edition featuring leading scientist Professor Omar M. Yaghi, recently awarded the 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his pioneering work on metal–organic frameworks.

Submissions open

Researchers are invited to submit abstracts for oral presentations or poster sessions across eight congress themes, covering the full breadth of chemistry. All submissions will undergo a blind peer-review process assessing scientific quality, originality, and contribution to the field. Abstracts must be written in English, submitted in Word format, and may not exceed 300 words excluding title, authors, and affiliations.

The call for abstracts opened on 20 October 2025 and will close on 20 December 2025. Authors will be notified of the review outcome by 10 March 2026. Full submission guidelines and formatting instructions can be found at www.euchems2026.eu/abstracts.

A global meeting

ECC10 will feature a world-class scientific programme, including plenary lectures from distinguished speakers such as Markus Antonietti (Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces), Kim Jelfs (Imperial College London), Katrien Keune (University of Amsterdam), and Roberta Sessoli (University of Florence). Additional speakers will be announced in the coming months.

The congress will cover topics ranging from sustainable chemistry and artificial intelligence to innovative materials and the ethical and educational dimensions of the discipline. ECC10 highlights the central role of chemistry in driving a more sustainable and innovative future.

The Antwerp cluster

As Europe’s largest integrated chemical cluster, Flanders provides a fitting backdrop for this international gathering. ECC10 will offer participants the opportunity to share their work, engage with peers, and build new collaborations across academia and industry.
