Plastic Matters – The end of Plastic Waste exports: a catalyst for Europe’s circular economy.
(Past Event)
Europe stands at a tipping point. With the upcoming ban on plastic waste exports, the foundations of the current recycling system are being fundamentally reshaped. What does this mean for Europe’s recycling capacity and for the viability of a truly circular plastics value chain?
This edition of Plastic Matters will bring together policymakers, recyclers, producers and knowledge institutions to take a critical look at the systemic consequences of the export ban and, in particular, at the levers that Europe has at its disposal to steer this transition in the right direction.
During an interactive session, these options will be tested for their feasibility and impact.
